Job title: Business Segment Manager

Company Name: Fort Clean Co. (please note that position is based in Fort St. John, British Columbia)

 

Position overview:  The Business Segment Manager leads budgeting, forecasting, contract review, and cost control functions while ensuring effective internal controls and compliance with corporate standards. This position determines pricing structures, resource planning, and performance measurement initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting knowledge, sound business judgment, and the ability to translate financial data into practical operational decisions that improve efficiency and long-term financial performance.

 

Required skills/qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, English language communication skills and at least 2 years of experience in a management role.  

  • Set the strategic direction of the business and ensure operations align with financial goals.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, and monitor financial performance through regular review of revenues, expenses, and profit margins.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for both financial and operational metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Approve and control budgets for client projects, contracts, equipment, and operational costs, ensuring spending remains within authorized limits.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, internal controls, and reporting.
  • Review statements and reports, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Oversee procurement planning and vendor agreements.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure service delivery meets quality standards, timelines, and client expectations.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to maintain efficient operations and optimize workforce productivity.
  • Direct managers and supervisors in implementing service quality standards and performance measurement systems.
  • Ad hoc duties related to administration or HR as required.

 

Compensation (full time role - 40 hour work week, permanent position): $63.00/hr plus vacation and paid sick days.
