Responsibilities

Tasks

• Use knives and stunning equipment to slaughter livestock.
• Remove non-edible parts and viscera from the carcasses for further processing.
• Cut carcasses into smaller and manageable sections for easier processing and packaging.
• Skin, clean, and trim animal carcasses maintaining quality standards.
• Adhere to safety guidelines, including proper handling of sharp tools and machinery, as well as maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure proper disposal or recycling of waste materials, such as bones, fat, and other by-products, in compliance with environmental standards.
• Work closely with other butchers, supervisors, and staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality product output.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment regularly to meet hygiene standards and prevent cross-contamination.
