Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Ensure food is prepared and presented in an attractive and appetizing manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen at all times.
- Follow health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation.
- Assist with inventory management and ensure that ingredients are properly stocked and fresh.
- Work with kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations during peak hours.
- Assist with menu planning and suggest new dish ideas.
- Ensure all food orders are completed on time and to the highest standards of quality.
- Adhere to all safety and cleanliness protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar kitchen position.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of food presentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Good understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency in food preparation.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Culinary School diploma is a plus.
