Requirements: High school graduation required, formal training related to Accounting/Bookkeeping an asset or prefer 2+ years related experience
Work location: Vernon, BC
Tasks:
- Process and verify vendor invoices, subcontractor billings, and employee expense claims for accuracy and proper approval.
- Match purchase orders, contracts, delivery slips, and invoices before issuing payment.
- Prepare and issue payments to suppliers and subcontractors, including cheque runs and electronic transfers.
- Generate and submit client invoices based on progress billings, project milestones, or contractual terms.
- Prepare cost calculations for materials, overhead, and other expenses.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up with clients regarding outstanding balances.
- Maintain accurate financial records related to job costing, holdbacks, lien releases, and construction draws.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and preparation of financial reports.
- Perform administrative tasks such as responding to inquiries, filing, or recordkeeping.
