DRYWALL INSTALLER REQUIRED

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Wage Rate and hours: $37.50 per hour, 40 hours per week
Work Location: various locations across Lower Mainland Area, BC.
Work area: Commercial and Residential Construction projects
Language: English
Education: not required
Experience: 1-2 years experience in the construction or in this trade is required.
Note: Job seekers with no prior experience but if have completed this trade’s certificate/diplomawill be accepted for this job.
Job duties:
• Measure, cut, fit and install sheets as required
• Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
• Position and secure sheets to metal/wooden studs or joists
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
• Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical andcoffered ceilings
• Apply coats of compound properly and allow coat to dry
