We are seeking a reliable Construction Helper to support various construction projects. This position involves performing a wide variety of manual labor tasks to assist skilled trades workers, maintain a safe construction environment, and contribute to the timely completion of construction activities.

Location: 2001 Mistassiniy Road, Wabasca, AB T0G 2K0
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (Part-time applicants can apply as well)
Wage & Overtime: $26.82/hr., based on 30-36hrs/wk. Overtime will be provided after 8hrs/day or 44hrs/wk.

Qualifications & Skills:
- No formal education required; prior experience in construction or manual labor is an asset; willingness to learn new skills.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding manual tasks, including heavy lifting.
- Strong commitment to safety and ability to adhere to all relevant health and safety protocols.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license is mandatory
Working Conditions:
- Physically active role in fast-paced, outdoor construction environments.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with and assist traders and skilled workers with basic tasks, including holding and positioning materials, measuring, and using hand tools under supervision.
- Load, unload, and move construction materials, tools, and small equipment around the site as needed to support trades and ongoing work activities.
- Keep walkways, access routes, and work areas clear and free of debris, trash, snow, ice, and other trip hazards always.
- Clean and prepare construction areas by removing rubble, garbage, and leftover materials, and by disposing of waste in designated bins or areas.
- Assisting in controlled demolition of existing structures using hand and power tools.
- Dig trenches and backfilling holes, and compacting earth using rakes, shovels, and tampers.
- Perform general manual labour tasks as assigned by the Foreman, following all site safety procedures and using required personal protective equipment.
