Wage: $25.00 per hour

Work Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Location: 26 Queen Magdalene Place, Toronto, Ontario, M2H 0A6

Language Requirement: English

Benefits: 10 paid vacation days per year or 4% vacation pay; On-site parking

About the Family

We are grandparents seeking a caring, responsible, and experienced child care provider to support our 5-year-old granddaughter.

Her mother is a single parent who is returning to work while recovering from postpartum depression. Due to our age and health limitations, we are unable to provide the consistent daily care she requires.

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable individual who can provide attentive child care and assist with basic household support as needed.

Main Responsibilities

Bathe, dress, and feed the child

Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks

Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy home environment

Oversee daily routines, including meals, naps, and playtime

Support personal hygiene and early social-emotional development

Follow the family’s parenting and discipline approach

Engage the child in age-appropriate activities such as reading, crafts, games, and outdoor walks

Qualifications

Completion of at least a one-year program in child care or a related field

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a licensed child care setting

Valid First Aid and CPR certification

Clear criminal background check and driving record check

Valid medical certificate from a physician

Strong communication skills in English
