ChicAddictions is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. This role plays a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth operation of our accounting processes. Key Objectives
The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial documentation, and assisting with reporting. This position supports the finance department by maintaining records, processing transactions, and helping to uphold compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Process and record daily financial transactions including accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain and update accounting ledgers and databases with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Reconcile invoices, receipts, and bank statements to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for internal review.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve accounting processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
- Perform general administrative duties to support the accounting department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in an accounting or clerical role is a plus.
- Familiarity with accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
