Job Duties:
- Evaluate each child’s development and create learning plans that meet their individual needs.
- Design and carry out child-care programs that encourage children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
- Communicate children’s progress and overall development clearly with parents.
- Lead engaging activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, organizing crafts, and arranging visits to local community places.
- Support children in developing healthy habits, including proper eating, dressing, and toileting skills.
- Observe children regularly to identify any potential learning or behavioral concerns and prepare reports for parents or supervisors when needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of child-care licensing regulations and ensure compliance.
- Build positive and professional relationships with co-workers and community partners involved in child care.
- Create and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment that promotes children’s well-being.
- Plan and organize activities for school-age children in before- and after-school programs.
- Supervise and support early childhood educator assistants, helping coordinate daily activities and classroom routines.
