We are currently seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy restaurant. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient performance, including food preparation, cash handling, and customer service
- Manage and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high-quality and efficient food production
- Supervise staff and schedule shifts to maintain strong performance and high customer satisfaction
- Maintain the highest standards of service, cleanliness, and food safety, always demonstrating a “guest-first” approach
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, resolving issues promptly and professionally
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure a stable supply chain
- Collaborate with the restaurant owner to develop and implement strategies to improve overall performance
- Assist the owner with hiring and training staff for the current location and potential new locations
- Support the owner in preparations for the opening of a new location
Qualifications:
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma (1-2 year program) is required. A higher degree, or a diploma/degree in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Management, Business Administration, or a related field, is considered an asset
- ProServe certification preferred
- Minimum four (4) years of proven experience in restaurant management role, with strong knowledge of food service and kitchen operations
- Demonstrated supervisory experience, including team management, training and development, and shift scheduling
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Experience opening or setting up a new restaurant location is an asset
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash-handling procedures
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
- Solid knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
