APS Metal Industries Inc. is a long-established sheet-metal manufacturing company in Pickering, Ontario. We are currently seeking a permanent full-time Industrial Cleaner (Heavy-Duty) to support cleanliness, safety, and sanitation across our manufacturing facility.

The Industrial Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety within a sheet-metal manufacturing facility. Duties include:

• Clean and maintain production and manufacturing areas, including floors, work areas, and non-operational surfaces of equipment
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, industrial vacuums, and pressure washers
• Remove metal dust, debris, oil residue, and waste materials in accordance with safety standards
• Clean offices, washrooms, lunchrooms, hallways, stairways, and common areas
• Empty garbage and recycling bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and supplies in compliance with WHMIS guidelines
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or supply shortages to management
• Maintain cleaning logs and follow established cleaning schedules

Compensation package:

-          Wage of $34.00 – $38.00 per hour with 40 hours a week of workload

-          Corporate benefits including medical insurance, dental insurance, disability insurance, paid vacation (10 business days per year)

Location of Work: Pickering, Ontario (on-site at company facility)

Skills Requirements

-          Minimum 1 year of professional cleaning experience in different workplace setting

-          Experience working independently with minimal supervision and maintaining consistent cleaning standards

-          Experience following established cleaning procedures, safety rules, and hygiene protocols

-          Demonstrated ability to work in structured environments where cleanliness, order, and safety are critical

-          Specialized knowledge of safe cleaning practices, including proper use of cleaning products and equipment

-          Awareness of workplace safety procedures and ability to follow site-specific safety instructions

-          Ability to identify and report safety hazards, spills, or sanitation issues promptly

-          Commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for all staff

-          Strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility

-          Physically able to perform cleaning duties throughout a full shift

-          Basic understanding of industrial machinery and cleaning equipment maintenance is an asset.

-          Ability to communicate in English to understand safety instructions, follow cleaning procedures, and report issues to supervisors

On-the-job training and site-specific safety instruction will be provided.
