Job Description

Mom’s Masala Rasoi Food Service Ltd. is looking for an experienced Cook who specializes in Indian cuisine. The successful candidate will prepare high-volume dishes for production, catering, and retail, while maintaining consistent quality and presentation. This role requires strong knowledge of Indian culinary methods, efficiency in food prep, and adherence to food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, season, and cook large quantities of traditional Indian dishes following approved recipes and production standards.
  • Organize daily food preparation tasks to meet operational timelines.
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies; request replenishments as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen and workstations in accordance with food safety rules.
  • Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Contribute ideas for new menu offerings by blending classic Indian cooking styles with contemporary trends.
  • Ensure consistent taste, appearance, and portioning of all menu items.
  • Work cooperatively with the kitchen team to support smooth food production and service.
  • Check quality and freshness of prepared items and make adjustments whenever necessary.
  • Follow all organizational processes, food handling guidelines, and hygiene procedures.

Requirements

Education

  • Completion of high school is required

Experience

  • At least 7 months to less than 1 year  of experience  as a cook 

Skills & Abilities

  • Capable of working efficiently in a high-demand kitchen setting
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to stand for extended hours during shifts
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene

Work Conditions
