Job Description#1:

McFeeters Enterprises is looking for long distance and local AZ drivers with minimum of 3 years verifiable driving experience to run from our place of business in Smithville Ontario to wood mills in northern Ontario and Quebec.

Since 1959 McFeeters Enterprises has been supplying the highest quality wood shavings to the animal bedding markets. We formulate our shavings with the optimal ratio of fines and flakes.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate the Companies trucks and trailers
  • Provide the highest level of customer service when dealing with customers

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years verifiable experience
  • Good driving record
  • Team player with positive attitude
  • AZ License
  • No issues with heights (tarping trailer)
  • Preference for experience hauling B-Trains

Runs:

  • Runs are north to the wood mills (as far up as Cochrane and into Quebec -Temiskaming) and back to our Smithville bagging plant.
  • Drivers bunk in the trucks during the week and home on weekends

Job Overview#2
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight, while adhering to all safety regulations. This position runs local, regional and cross boarder. The successful candidate must legally be able to cross boarder and have that experience.

Duties

Operate commercial vehicles for transport across various locations
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles and equipment to ensure safety and compliance
Assist with the operation of heavy machinery and equipment, including forklifts and other industrial tools.
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle logs, and maintenance activities
Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities
Collaborate with warehouse or logistics teams to coordinate pickups and deliveries efficiently
Experience
Proven 3 years experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields
Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to navigate routes efficiently and adhere to schedules in a timely manner
Aptitude/Competencies
Ability to tarp and untarp utilizing different equipment
No height issues (ex. when tarping)
Flexible/versatile
Equipment

This position requires a dedicated professional capable of managing multiple responsibilities while prioritizing safety and efficiency. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong operational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety compliance. The successful candidate will be required to bunk in the truck some days and home on weekends.
