Due to continued growth and increasing project demand, Imperial Mechanical Ltd. is currently seeking three full-time Plumber Helpers to join our trades team. The successful candidates will assist plumbers on residential and commercial job sites and support daily installation, repair, and maintenance activities. Position Description                                                                                                           

Position: Plumber Helper

Type of employment: Full time; Permanent

No of positions: 3

Work Location: Various Locations in Lower Mainland, BC and/or as per company’s contracts

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $25.00 per hour

Overtime and Vacation Pay

Relocation assistance of up to $1500 for qualified candidates and a referral bonus of up to $1,000 for current Imperial Mechanical employees.

Responsibilities

• Assist plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial plumbing systems.
• Carry materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
• Measure, cut, and prepare pipes and fittings under the direction of a plumber.
• Help locate and mark positions for pipe connections, fixtures, and openings in walls and floors.
• Prepare work areas by setting up equipment, protecting surfaces, and cleaning job sites.
• Support testing of plumbing systems for leaks and proper operation using air and water pressure equipment.
• Assist in diagnosing basic plumbing issues such as clogged drains or leaking fixtures.
• Follow instructions from plumbers and supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely.
• Observe and comply with workplace safety procedures, job-site rules, and company policies.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Communicate effectively with team members to support daily work activities.
• Perform other related plumbing helper duties, as assigned, to support timely completion of projects.

Education, Experience and Skills required

• Previous experience in plumbing, construction, or related trade is an asset; however, training will be provided to suitable candidates with no prior experience.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
• Good communication skills to follow instructions and coordinate with team members.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and carry out assigned tasks under supervision.
• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions, as required by job sites and project schedules.
