Head Chef

Hachi Hana Japanese Restaurant

Position: Head Chef, Full time, Permanent

Location: 1426 Lonsdale Ave North Vancouver, British Columbia V7M 2J1 Canada

Salary Rate: $34.80~$36.65 hour and 30 Hours per week

Duties

- Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions

- Plan food preparation and cooking activities of the restaurant

- Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards

- Estimate amount and costs of supplies and food items and labour costs

- Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs

- Consult with clients regarding special functions or events

- Supervise activities of chefs and cooks and recruit staff

Qualifications:

- 3 years of experience in commercial food preparation including some supervisory experience

- Able to communicate in English

- Available to work in evening and weekends

- Completion of High School graduation or higher
