Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: $37.00 per hour

Start date: As soon as possible
Work locations: Various job sites in Abbotsford, BC and other areas of Lower Mainland (BC), and Fraser Valley depending on project requirements.

Job duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, perform calculations, and prepare layouts.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
• Finish surfaces of woodwork in houses and buildings, using hand tools and paneling.
• Work on new projects remodels, or additions to existing wooden structures.
• Build foundations, install floor beams and subflooring, build walls, and install partitions.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
• Supervise other construction workers.

 Job Requirements

• Completion of Secondary School
• Completion of a three- to four-year apprenticeship program in the trade or Minimum 3 years of experience in the trade is required.
• Ability to communicate in English
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
