Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Project Manager to assist in coordinating commercial and restaurant construction and renovation projects. This is an entry-level project management role that provides support to the Senior Project Manager in scheduling, site coordination, materials tracking, documentation, and quality/safety compliance.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Project Manager in scheduling trades and subcontractors and coordinating daily site activities.
- Track project progress and provide updates to the Senior PM.
- Attend site meetings, inspections, and walkthroughs; take notes and prepare summaries for the Senior PM.
- Visit construction sites to observe ongoing work and support monitoring of subcontractor and trades performance.
- Requisition and track materials, equipment, and supplies, and help verify deliveries and quantities on site.
- Prepare basic material take-offs, assist with Requests for Information (RFI), and support preparation of Change Order requests.
- Maintain daily logs, site reports, and project documentation under supervision.
- Assist in monitoring work compliance with design, safety, and health regulations, inspections, and milestone approvals.
- Help with deficiency walkthroughs, punch list follow-ups, and project closeout documentation.
- Assist with work orders, change orders, project correspondence, and coordination with engineers, architects, and consultants.
- At least 6 months of experience in construction supervision or project coordination.
- Basic knowledge of restaurant construction and renovation, commercial stages, and familiarity with coordinating vendors and subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings for construction and site coordination purposes.
- Knowledge of basic construction trades, materials, and safety standards.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to follow direction and work under supervision.
- Must be able to visit construction sites.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
