Responsibilities
Tasks
- Install insulation on mechanical systems including pipes, ductwork, tanks, and equipment.
- Measure, cut, fit, and secure insulation materials according to job requirements.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Remove and replace damaged or worn insulation as needed.
- Select appropriate insulation materials and thickness for each application.
- Wrap, fasten, and seal insulation to control heat loss, condensation, and noise.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Work at heights, on ladders or scaffolding, and in confined spaces when required.
- Follow safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas on job sites.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to ensure proper installation.
- Comply with company policies, building codes, and workplace safety regulations.
