Early Childhood Educator

Fraser Montessori Daycare in BC is seeking qualified Early Childhood Educator.

Job Position: Early Childhood Educator, Permanent, Full-time

Job Location: 835 Surrey Street New Westminster, BC, V3L 4W3

Wages: $23.50 per hour, 30~ 40 hours per week

Required Experience and qualification:

- Early Childhood Education Diploma

- Valid BC Early Childhood Educator License

- Valid First Aid Certificate

- Good communication skills in English

Key Responsibilities:

-Care and guide children positively and respectfully

-Develop child-care programs related physical, emotional, social and academic development of children

-Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, etc.

-Plan and conduct activity programs for young children  

-Observe children for signs of potential learning disabilities and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor

 -Ensures the safety of all children in the Centre

 -Understand child development

-Act to the individual needs and learning styles of children

-Ensure that children are supervised at all the times such as washroom, nap room and etc.

-Plan and provide appropriate activities to assure smooth transitions throughout the day
