MANGAT CONSTRUCTION (M & S MANGAT HOLDINGS LTD.) located at 1100-1631 Dickson Ave. in Kelowna B.C. is actively interviewing for the permanent position of Personnel Manager.

Your duties would include:

1)      Oversee personnel operations to ensure effective staffing, workforce allocation, and support for ongoing construction projects.

2)      Work with project managers to forecast labour needs and coordinate human resource requirements for different phases of construction.

3)      Manage recruitment and on boarding activities, including sourcing skilled trades, coordinating training, apprenticeship sponsorship.

4)      Organize staff documentation including certifications, and proof of safety training or site orientations.

5)      Develop, implement, and maintain personnel policies, including labour relations practices, workplace standards, and procedures that support consistent and compliant operations.

6)      Administer employee training, safety, and development programs so that it can be ensured that workers complete required safety orientations, technical training, and skills development activities.

7)      Advise supervisors and managers on HR matters, including policy interpretation, performance management, disciplinary processes, and workplace conflict resolution.

8)      Maintain and oversee compensation frameworks, and personnel documentation to ensure accurate records and fair application of benefits across the company.

9)      Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies, participate in staff meetings, and support continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and workforce retention.

 

Ideal Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Relevant post-secondary education
  • Excellent communication skills; English language
  • Ability to work as a proactive member of a team
  • Skilled at keeping accurate records with attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment when handling performance, attendance, or safety-related matters

 

Projected working hours: 30 per week

Salary range offered: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour
