1 Flynn Canada Ltd. is currently recruiting a Roofing Supervisor (commercial) to fill 2 F/T vacancies in the London and the surrounding area (550 Sovereign Rd, London, Ontario, N5V 4K5).
The position of “Roofing Supervisor” is a role, in which the Roofing Supervisor provides the overall on-site administrative and technical management for a project, while ensuring the total constructive efforts are in accordance with the plans and specifications and are communicated to all parties involved.
Responsibilities include:
· Ensure that all revisions/change orders are properly documented and accounted.
· Daily review with Service Manager on project and billing progress.
· Ensure all proper relevant paperwork, materials and supplies are reviewed and given to the employees
· Completion of various reports, including Service Request/Field Report and work order.
· Dispatch calls to field technicians, providing all necessary job information prior to their arrival on site.
· Must take all service and leak calls and maintain on-call status 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
· Build relationships and maintain close contact with customers during project activity.
· Compliance to regional Health and Safety requirements and Flynn policies.
· Monitor quality, safety, and training requirements through regular visits to project sites and train workers in safety procedures and company policies.
· Order and manage service inventory, material best practices, and safety equipment distribution.
· Resolve work problems and conduct daily review of project progress with the Foremen and review of field reports.
· Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of employees
· Establish methods to meet work schedules, alignment, and time management of field crews and subcontractors.
· Identification, training and coaching future Foremen and Roofing Supervisors and involved in the hiring process for future field employees.
· Ensure CVOR compliance (Ontario Only)
Qualifications:
· 2 years experience in a Construction environment.
· Roofing experience is considered an asset.
· Completion of secondary school is required.
Skills and Knowledge:
· Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Form and maintain customer relations, in person, through email, and over the phone.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize, stay organized, and perform in a deadline-oriented environment.
· Reliable and strong problem-solving skills.
· Work independently as well as in a team-based environment.
· Work in a fast-paced environment and strong attention to detail.
Terms of Employment:
· Permanent full-time at 40 hours a week.
· $78,000 annual salary.
· 2 weeks paid vacation in your first year of employment and 15 days thereafter.
