Job Responsibilities:

• Measure areas and review plans to determine tile installation requirements.
• Install and align floor and wall tiles according to specified patterns.
• Applying tiling grout and cement while arranging tiles.
• Prepare surfaces and tile beds using cement, mortar, glue, or adhesive materials.
• Prepare base surfaces and install supports needed for tile work.
• Align and position tiles as the specified pattern with the use of squares, and straightedges.
• Mix and spread adhesive and other materials to fix tiles.
• Applying tiling grout and cement while arranging tiles.
• Utilize appropriate tools and equipment, such as cutters, bolts, and trowels to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Cutting, polishing, and surfacing marbles and granites for a smoother surface.
• Ensure tiles are installed without damage or breakage and replace if required.
• Install tile strips to finish and protect tile edges.
• Provide basic cost estimates and order required materials and supplies.
• Create decorative tile designs based on customer requirements.
• Clean, level, and inspect finished work to ensure quality.

Job Requirements:

• Completion of Secondary School is required.
• Experience in the same field is an asset; however, on-the-job training will be provided.
