Job Description

We are seeking a caring, responsible, and reliable Child Caregiver to assist with the daily care and supervision of our child in a private home environment. The ideal candidate will be patient, attentive, and able to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and care for the child in employer’s home

Provide age-appropriate activities that support physical and mental development

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment

Prepare nutritious meals and snacks

Assist with bathing, dressing, and daily routines

Oversee nap times and bedtime routines (if applicable)

Accompany child to appointments, activities, or outings as required

Light housekeeping related to the child (tidying play areas, washing bottles/dishes, laundry, etc.)

Follow household rules and routines

Requirements

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Previous experience in child care or related field

Ability to communicate in English

Demonstrated responsibility, reliability, and trustworthiness

CPR/First Aid certification (an asset)

Must pass background/record checks if required
