We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Store Supervisor to lead our store operations and ensure exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, retail management expertise, and a passion for driving sales and team development. This role involves overseeing daily store activities, managing staff, and maintaining a welcoming shopping environment to meet business goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales associates and staff
  • Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory management to optimize sales
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure excellent customer service standards
  • Manage payroll, scheduling, and administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and record-keeping
  • Conduct recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new employees
  • Implement marketing initiatives to promote store products and special promotions
  • Utilize POS systems for sales transactions and monitor cash handling procedures
  • Develop sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Coordinate purchasing decisions to maintain appropriate stock levels
  • Monitor store compliance with company policies and safety regulations
  • Manage budgeting processes and control expenses to maximize profitability

Skills

  • Proven supervising or retail management experience with strong leadership capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for diverse customer engagement
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in POS systems, merchandising software, and basic math for pricing and bookkeeping
  • Experience in sales management, marketing strategies, and store operations planning
  • Ability to recruit, train, develop, and retain high-performing teams
  • Sound negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing decisions
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the workday
  • Customer service orientation with a focus on building positive customer relationships
  • Administrative experience including payroll processing, budgeting, and record keeping
