Job Summary

We are currently seeking one (1) candidate for the role of System Integration Product Developer II, within our “Centre of Excellence” collaboration dedicated to developing new and innovative products through extensive research and understanding of cannabis with a focus on research and development.

Reporting to the Vapour Lead of the New Categories Programme Team, you are passionate about developing new category technology products from concept to commercialization with a focus on human safety, well being and consumer experience. With an emphasis on organization and administrative task management while managing multidisciplinary projects, our ideal candidate is highly motivated, energetic and able to work as part of a diverse, fast paced team. 

This role is based in our facility located in Moncton, New Brunswick (35 English Dr, Moncton, E1E 3X3, New Brunswick).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of Vapour Devices within the team in a dynamic business environment.
  • Lead PPM activities: own the Vapour Device PLM checklist, ensure stage gate requirements are met, manage Timelines, communicate options & scenarios.
  • Ensure relevant & new BAT device development processes & WoWs are integrated into the PDC.
  • Engage Organigram Operations team during Development process (POC, POA) ensuring communication of any key requirements, processes, machinery & planning.
  • Manage relationships with T1 Device suppliers.
  • Ensure completion of Vapour Device/System DVTs, analyse data ensuring product performance meets require specification.
  • Review third party design, development, quality/compliance and manufacturing documentation.
  • Support IP to best protect the product development;
  • Management & continuous improvement of R&D Hardware spaces.
  • Support other Product Development teams where required.
  • Creative Problem solving using strong critical thinking - present to the management team concepts, root cause, solutions and planning.
  • Evaluate and assess external technologies as part of ongoing benchmarking.
  • Presenting to key stakeholders in cross cultural environment.
  • Line management of Device Developer I.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Business) 
  • Experience managing suppliers to deliver new products/technology from concept to proof of application.
  • Experience preparing and managing technical specifications.
  • Experience with executing prototyping and testing proof of concept.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple technical workstreams in parallel.
  • Knowledge in CAD considered an asset (Solidworks, ProE, Autodesk).
  • Excellent English interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Project management experience required.
  • Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Wage and Benefits

Compensation range: $65,000 - $90,000. This role is eligible to participate in the Short Term Incentive (Bonus) Plan. Full-time, permanent employment (40 hours per week).
