Retail Store Supervisor

Job Duties

• Manage retail staff, including cashiers and people working on the floor
• Organize and distribute staff schedules and ensure hours of operation are in compliance with local laws
• Ensure promotions are accurate and merchandised to the company’s standards
• Approve payments by cheque and the return of merchandise
• Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met
• Authorize return of merchandise
• Solve problems, such as customer complaints and product shortages
• Sell and order merchandise; prepare reports on sales volumes and maintain inventories
• Work on store displays. Simultaneously, identify current and future trends that appeal to consumers
• Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, product supply and human resources
• Hire, train or arrange training of new sales staff
• Coach, counsel, recruit, train, and discipline employees. Also, conduct employee performance reviews/report.

Qualification & Skills

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in retail sector or similar role is required
• Good English communication and writing skills required
• Comply well with working conditions like combination of sitting, standing, walking and standing for extended periods
• Ability to supervise 1-2 people
• Possess team leadership skills
• Attention to detail, reliability, punctual and organized
• Must have strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude
• Willing to work at different locations and/or relocate at own cost, if required

Salary & Hours

$27.75 / hour & 40 hours a week
