Caregiver needed for elderly (male) aged 73 years in Squamish, BC, V0N 1T0.

 Title of Position: Caregiver for Elderly

Job Type: Full time & permanent (40 hrs per week) 8 hours per day.

Position: 01

Work Location: Squamish, BC, Canada

Wage: The selected candidate will be paid $17.50/hr. Overtime shall be paid after 40hr/week.

Education: High School Diploma with an additional Training Program done in a relevant field will be given preference.

Experience: Minimum 1 year in adult care.

Live-in is not a condition for employment.  (Optional accommodation will be available at no cost on live-in-basis). The care giver will work at the employer’s location but is free to live outside of the home.

JOB DUTIES:

Assisting elderly in his daily routine, from making bed to the washroom, personal Care. Prepare meals and special diets as per the age and recommendation of the doctor. Always accompany for the doctor’s appointments and in outdoor and indoor activities. Being vigilant always due to the age and to make him feel comfortable and monitor any changes that comes in his daily schedule and report back to the employer every day.

Preference shall be given to Aboriginal People, Canadian applicants and Permanent Residents.
