Omega Kitchen Cabinets Ltd located at Unit 307 12507 80 Avenue Surrey BC V3W 3A4 provides services including millwork, countertops and custom-made kitchen cabinets for residential and commercial buildings. We are urgently looking for 2 Carpenters to add into our team. As a Carpenter, candidate will be required to:
• Construct, erect, install, maintain and repair structures and components of structures made of wood Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Build cabinets, doors, windows and other structures of wood
• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
• Maintain, repair and renovate cabinets and kitchens in residences and other commercial establishments
• Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated
• Prepare cost estimates for clients
Skills Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of a 3-4 apprenticeship program or 2-3 years of experience in the trade.
• Trade certification for carpenters will be an asset, but not necessary.
Benefits: 4% Vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid.
