Education

• Completion of secondary school
• Completion of college courses related to the area supervised may be an asset.
• Equivalent experience in occupation is an added advantage.

Experience

1 to 2 years

Specific Skills

• Co-ordinate, assign and review the work of hotel clerks and other related workers
• Establish work schedules and procedures and co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
• Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports
• Hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
• Requisition supplies and materials
• Register arriving guests and assign rooms
• Process group arrivals and departures
• Take, cancel and change room reservations; Process telephone calls
• Provide information on hotel facilities and services
• Process wake-up calls; Exchange foreign currency
• Process guests’ departures, calculate charges and receive payments
• Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work
