Child Caregiver - Private Home

Private household in Surrey is looking for Caregiver for Children – ages 5 and 11 years. Full time position, must be flexible to cover shifts, some weekends, hours will vary from days and evenings. Overtime may be required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Take children to and from school and to appointments
• Tend to emotional well-being of children
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• Organize activities such as games and outings for children
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Supervise and care for children
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
• Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

Requirements:

• Minimum completion of High School or college diploma is required.
• Previous Experience in the same field and/or previous full-time training in the field will be an asset.
• Must have organized, reliability, effective interpersonal skills
• Must be able to pass medical exam, criminal record check,
• Previous employer reference is required

Experience: Minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience working with children.

Language:Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.

Expected start date: As soon as possible

Pay: 16.00 per hour

Job Types:  Full-time, Permanent

Monday to Friday with occassional on-call weekend (paid overtime)

Work Location: Work in employer's home. - Surrey, British Columbia

Non-smoking, Scent free environment. Public transportation is available
