MS Engineering & Associates is a growing Contracting company based in Surrey. Our main focus is on Construction improvements with growing demand within the construction sector in the country.

 

We are actively seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Full-time permanent Project Manager.

 

Position Overview

As an experienced Project Manager, you will be responsible to successfully lead and execute a variety of tasks. This position is also responsible for the overall performance and administrative direction for each project and ensuring those activities are completed effectively and efficiently.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support all partners and project team staff in the administration and coordination of project needs.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors as required by the project.
  • Participate in procurement process for business development and marketing purpose.
  • May support in the production of proposals.
  • Log, track, file and manage project documents as per project requirements and standards.
  • Create and edit project specific templates as “directed/ reviewed/ approved” by project lead/ project architect.
  • Edit and format project/ contract administration documents as per project/ standards.
  • Perform project related research/ tasks as directed by project team
  • Schedule meeting, take meeting notes and prepare agenda and minutes for project lead/ project architect review and issuance to the project team.
  • The successful applicant will be proficient in the following day to day operations:

-          Budgeting and Tendering

-          Highly efficient communication with architects, consultants, suppliers and sub traits.

-          Client related and management related tasks (scheduling updates, budget updates, client meetings and project updates).

-          Sub trade contracting, negotiating and coordination.

-          Contract management

-          Feasibility studies

-          Material research.

 

Requirements

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and background:

-          A minimum of 4 years experience working as a Project Manager on projects with a construction budget at or over $2 million.

-          In depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.

-          Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.

-          Possess the ability to perform quantity takeoffs and apply pricing or determine pricing through supplier and sub trade consultations or solicit subtrade quotes to build project estimates and budgets.

-          Ability to track project cost on project budgets and forecasting upcoming costs to determine areas where budget does not meet.

-          Fluent in English written and spoken.

-          Excellent communication skills.

-          Tracking meeting schedules, deadlines and budget of the assigned project(s).

-          Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

-          A team player with leadership abilities.

-          Proficient with computers and good knowledge of MS Office and MS Word.
