A Kitchen Manager is a key path to new clientele. It is an extension of our restaurant in the community. Now Sushi Sama provides an exciting opportunity for the Kitchen Manager to join our growing restaurant and grow with us.

Job Description:

We are currently in search of an experienced Kitchen Manager to fulfill our future goal at a Mandarin restaurant located in Kingston.  We are expecting the restaurant business will grow back to normal after the pandemic ends. To serve customers with the best services, we need to have a manager to help us to lead the kitchen department, so we are urgently seeking an experienced kitchen manager to bring the team together and serve the customer better.

Key Responsibilities:

·Plan, organize direct, control, and evaluate the operations of the kitchen.

·Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures

·Coordinate with the General Manager and the Chef on the menu offerings

·Ensure the food is prepared to order and in a timely manner

·Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies

·Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and meets all regulation

Skills & Qualification:

·Completion of a college diploma is required.

·Minimum 2 years of related work experience.

·Familiar with Asian restaurant working environment.

Language:

English

What we offer

The compensation for this permanent full-time position would be CAD$41.00/ hour for 35 working hours per week from Monday to Friday.

10 days of paid vacation or 4% of the gross wage.
