Wage Rate & hours: $21.00 per hour, 40 hours per week, occasional overtime required

Job location: Various locations across Lower Mainland Area, British Columbia, Canada

Construction projects: Residential, Commercial, Renovations

Job requirements:

Language:  knowledge ofEnglish is preferred. Applicants with basis English skills will be accepted as well. Applicants who don’t know English will be accepted as long as they can communicate in Punjabi or Hindi.

Education: No Education

Experience: No experience, on the job training will be provided

Job duties:

ü Load, unload, and transport construction materials from supplier to company vehicles and then to job sites

ü Clean up chemical spills, pile salvaged materials and other containments

ü Attend safety meetings

ü Make sure that the work sites are left clean at the end of each shift

ü Remove unused extra construction materials from the job sites to company vehicle at the end of the project

ü Properly store extra construction material at job sites at the end of each shift

ü Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites

ü Assist the skilled tradespersons such as drywall installers, construction painters, insulators, carpenters in construction activities

ü Follow federal and provincial safety rules as well as company’s safety policy

ü Provide materials and tools to skilled workers

ü Assist skilled workers by cleaning and prepping the work area

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks, physically demanding

Weight handling: up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
