J Singh Construction Ltd. located in Surrey, BC is looking for two Construction Labourer to join its team as soon as possible. Candidates are required to work at various locations throughout Lower Mainland and Greater Vancouver areas in BC depending upon company’s contracts.

Terms of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $21.00 per hour

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Site Environment: At heights, Confined spaces, Noisy, Dusty
Work location(s): Various Locations in Lower Mainland, and Greater Vancouver areas in BC and/or as per company contracts.

Job duties

• Assist skilled tradespersons by carrying tools and materials and helping in their other construction activities.
• Remove rubble and debris using rakes, shovels, and other equipment at job site.
• Dig trenches, backfill holes, or compact earth to prepare for construction
• Load, unload and move construction materials to the work site.
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete.
• Take care of construction equipment.
• Clean and prepare surface.

Position Requirements

• Some work experience as a construction labourer would be an asset but not mandatory.
• Functional English is required.
• Ability to walk stands, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks.
