Veterinary Assistant

Excellent opportunity for Veterinary assistant/technician/non technician position to enter a career in animal care. One year experience in animal care preferred, but willing to train the right candidates who had experience with animal care. We are specifically looking for candidates who can work Monday to Friday, and some Saturdays, 30 - 40 hours per week. Please email resume to jeff@tanglefootvets.com

- Small animal husbandry and general veterinary care
Specific Skills and duties
- Administer treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
- Produce diagnostic radiographs, collect samples and perform other laboratory tests
- Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under the direction of veterinarian
- Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery
- Counsel clients on animal health care
- Assist veterinarian before, during and after animal care
- Provide wound and bandage care
hours: 30 -40 per week
Job Types: Full-time
Salary: $20.00 per hour
