Child caregiver - private home

Private household at 236 Farmstead Road in Richmond Hill, Toronto is looking for Child Caregiver.

The position is full-time.

Must be flexible to cover shifts, some weekends, hours will vary from day, night, and evenings. Overtime may be required.

Salary: $15.00 per hour, 35 hours/month

Work Site Environment: Non-smoking

Work Location: Must work in employer's/client's home. Accommodation is not available.

Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.):

First Aid Certificate or CPR Certificate

Job Duties:

-          Maintaining a safe, clean and caring environment for the child

-          Preparing nutritional food and snack selections for the child

-          Supervising balanced routines that include physical activities, rest, and playtime

-          Communicating with the parents for any potential problems including emotional or developmental issues with the child.

-          Promote child's emotional and social development, understanding of others, and self-actualization.

-          Discipline child according to the methods requested by the parents

-          Carry out housekeeping duties: laundry, errands, cleaning, dishwashing, and changing
child linens.

Requirements:
• College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience

• Previous Experience in the same field and/or previous full-time training in the field will be an asset.
• Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English.
• Mandarin speaking is an asset, but it is not a requirement.
